Care Bags were created to provide the basics to families who are staying in the hospital with their child so they can remain at their child’s bedside without worrying about meeting their own basic needs. More importantly, the care bags are tangible messages to these families that there are other people in their community who care about them during their time of need.
Care Bags consist of a tote bag filled with a variety of basic supplies: cozy blanket, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, tissues, lip balm, gum, deodorant, hand sanitizer, flip flops for the shower, laundry supplies, a notebook and pens.
You can help The Megan Littlejohn Foundation’s Care Bag Program by organizing one of the following events:
We are asking schools and community organizations to hold donation drives to collect products for our Care Bags, which help families who have a child facing a life-threatening illness in the hospital.

Watch for announcements about upcoming Care Bag Nights, where volunteers meet to pack Care Bags from donated supplies.
